The Doom Fulfilled is the second in a series by Edward Burne-Jones, from 1885. A knight rescues a maiden from a dragon/sea serpent, though the outcome is uncertain. Burne-Jones, a leading member of the art movement known as the "Pre-Raphaelites", was a close associate of Rosetti, and other prominent artists in the vibrant London art scene of the time.
